I started the Coffee Shop Wrap a week ago and finally found the time this morning to add the finishing touches, the tassels. As much as I would have loved to have worked on it over the weekend family and chores took first place. Since we finally had a nice day that meant getting out into the garden. Does this mean winter is over? As much as I would hope so (I dislike the cold) I still want time to wear my lovely new wrap.
As soon as I came across the Coffee Shop Wrap pattern on Ravelry I just knew I had to make it. I had the yarn left over from the Under the Sea Blanket I have just finished and I didn't currently have anything else on the go.
I find knitting very relaxing, more so than crochet. Being such a simple pattern it gave me a good chance to listen to a good audio book as I was knitting. After You by Jojo Moyes was my choice, You can sign up to scribd here and get your first 2 months free. The book wasn't as good as the first one Me Before You but it was nice to see how Lou's life turned out. Have you read (or listened to) any good books lately? I am always looking for new books to read.
This pattern is the perfect for beginners. The only stitches you need to know are knit, k2tog and yarn over. A good place to learn these stitches and many more is Creativebug. There is even one for a crochet shawl if you would rather not learn how to knit just yet.
